The Knaypa ~ Polish Restaurant in London
The Knaypa Restaurant was established in December 2007 by Monika Milcarz. From the beggining our aim is to offer our customers the highest standard. The Knaypa offers the best quality authentic Polish cuisine prepared by highly talented Chef Sebastian Janiszewski and his team.
At The Knaypa you can choose from two dining areas each of one can seat up to 40 people: the ground floor has the contemporary design with pale woooden flooring, red leather seating and crisp red & black linen:
The downstairs area, reminiscent of an old Silesian inn, is more rustic and entirely different proposition altogether with dark wooden furniture, atmosferic lighting and homely atmosphere. In keeping with the style of this lower section, the food is served in time-honoured fashion on hand carved lime wooden platters adding a touch of authenticity to the whole affair:
The menu at The Knaypa has something to tempt everyone, as well as Polish staples such as Pierogi, golabki and bigos, dishes include soured rye flour soup with white sausage and eggs served in a bowl of bread, roasted pork shank or Polish steak Tatar.
Knaypa's cellar boasts some superb accompanying beverages to our food menu with a fine selection of Polish beer and vodkas, both plain and flavoured, home made flavoured vodkas (sour cherry, strawberry, raspberry, banana-mint, cranberry, lemon pear), summer cocktails and a small but perfectly formed wine list.
Knaypa offers a choice of home made tortes and birthday cakes (flavours: strawberry, cream, chocolate and raspberry). Tortes are made for order:
